Bye, Bye Winter? Happy Groundhog Day '07!!

Please let it be cloudy today, I don't want Punxsutawney Phil to see his shadow!! I desperately want him to stay above the ground as a sign that Spring will be returning to us soon!! ; ) The sun finally shined on us yesterday, Feb. 1! Oh my gosh, what a relief, it was absolutely gorgeous outside!! My spirit was instantly lifted as soon as the Sun began to shine down on us!! Come on Spring!!! I can't wait to see all of the wildflowers!!! I hope to try and snap some photos of them to post!!!

These are some pics of Winter that I took on Christmas Eve and Day! Enjoy! They were taken at my sister's place, my brother's place and my Dad's place just outside of San Antonio, Tx. Believe me, I had the best time spending time out there!

Happy 75th birthday, Dad! I'm on my way to see you!

I can feel it! Hopefully Spring will be in the air soon!

Sunshine, smiles and the happiest of thoughts to everyone!!

Hi Sandra! I absolutely love your photos of the trees without leaves. You are kinda lucky, in a way, to have the four seasons and the dramatic changes in nature to go with it. They make such wonderful pictures. We see green all year round but I guess I should not complain, huh?
Lotsa love from Malaysia

Hooray he didn't see his shadow!!! Maybe Spring will really come early this year, of course in CO that means May instead of June, but we'll take what we can get. Our total snow accumulation has climbed to 75 inches. The constant freeze and thaw has created tire murdering pits from hell (formerly known as pot holes, but these are so much worse). But we have finally been granted a repreave with a few days of 60 degree weather, we can finally see hope on the horizon. Maybe.
PS I love the pic of the campfire, perfect shot.

Hi Ladyhawk! Trees without leaves always makes me feel so down and that's why I'm always so anxious for Spring to come 'round! We only had the sun shine down on us 5 days in "Gloomy January", can you believe that? No wonder I was grumpy and down all month : ( ! Green all year round...that's so awesome! Lotsa love to you as well from Texas! ; )

Hi Rachel!! Yippee...I agree...come on Spring!! Thanks for the compliment on the campfire shot! All that snow...my goodness...I cannot imagine. Potholes..yuck..I know...they can be a real pain! We end up with too much heat which is not so great either. ; ( I hope the weather gets better for you guys soon!! ; ) Luved hearing from ya!! Thanks again!!

Hi Tanya!! Always lovely hearing from ya!! Thanks for the wish for my Daddy! Yup! You're right about the shadow! ; ) We are so totally looking forward to an early Spring!! Take care you!! : )

Hi Saffron!! Thanks!! ; )

That 3rd photo was taken on Christmas Eve at my sister's place. This enormous tree is right smack in her backyard. She lives on 17 acres. Cool, huh? She even has deer visit her place. I love where she lives and she hates it because she hates all of the stickers. I could so deal with the stickers to be able to wake up to a field of wildflowers in the Spring! ; )

Thanks for the visit and the lovely comments!! ; )

Luv and smiles!!,

Sandra
